Undergraduates who wish to explore the interface between mathematics, economics, and philosophy may wish to pursue a one-semester reading course or PhB project in some area of mathematical economics. Possible topics include social choice theory and Arrow's Impossibility Theorem, game theory and von Neumann's minimax theorem, and the welfare theorems in general equilibrium analysis. The essential prerequisite for these projects is Analysis 1.
