This conference is the second major event in the Mathematical Sciences Institute 2013 Special Year on Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations. The aim of the meeting is to bring together  Australian and international researchers in geometric aspects of nonlinear PDE with particular emphasis on: geometric flows and their applications; affine, conformal, complex and convex geometric structures as well as problems arising from Lie group invariances.

The meeting will have the structure of an Oberwolfach or Banff Workshop. February 9 will be the arrival date with a welcoming function in the evening. Lectures will take place from the morning of Monday, February 10 until lunch time on Friday, February 14, with a hike in the Murramarang National Park tentatively scheduled for the afternoon of Wednesday, February 12, followed by the conference dinner in the evening.

Transport

From Sydney

Kioloa Coastal Campus is about 250 kilometers by road from Sydney Airport and a pleasant drive past farms and coastal towns. There are two daily coaches operated by Premier Motor Services (http://www.premierms.com.au) departing the Domestic Terminal  at 9.30 am and 3.35 pm and the International Terminal at 9.40 am and 3.45 pm.  They arrive at Termeil at 2.35 pm and 8.35 pm respectively. Both services have meal stops en route and seats should be reserved in advance. If you are coming by bus, we can arrange to pick you up at Termeil which is about 15 kms away.

We plan to charter a bus as well with departure on February 9 timed to fit as much as possible with international arrivals. For the return journey, we expect the bus would leave straight after lunch on February 14. Precise details will be provided later but  if you wish to use the charter bus please let us know your arrival time as soon as possible.

Alternatively there are one or two daily flights from both Sydney and Melbourne to Moruya which is about 70 kilometers away, (www.rex.com.au). If there is sufficient demand we would also arrange a pickup at Moruya airport.

From Canberra

Kioloa Coastal Campus is 190 kilometers from Canberra. There is daily coach service from Canberra City to Batemans Bay, (www.murrays.com.au), departing Canberra at 7.30 am and arriving at 9.55 am. If sufficient demand, we will also arrange a pick up at Batemans Bay which is about 42 kms from Kioloa. It may also be possible to get a lift with another participant driving from Canberra.  Please advise as soon as possible if you wish to car pool or require a pick up from Batemans Bay.
