In this special event, our academic staff will discuss the work of exceptional female mathematicians. The works of the following female mathematicians will be presented: 

The mathematics of Svitlana Mayboroda: hidden landscapes
Speaker: Pierre Portal, ANU. Level: mix Colloquium/Undegraduate Colloquium (half of the talk accessible with calculus knowledge, half accessible with basic functional analysis and PDE knowledge).

The mathematics of Maryna Viazovska: sphere packing in dimensions 8 and 24
