Mean Curvature Flow of Level Sets 4

Abstract: These lectures will give an introduction to the level set flow developed by Chen, Giga, and Goto, and by Evans and Spruck. The level set flow is a degenerate parabolic equation which asserts each level set evolves in time according to its mean curvature. The viscosity solution to the level set flow provides a weak solution of the mean curvature flow which extends the classical one.

In the third lecture, we will discuss the existence of weak solutions for the level set flows.
