Description

Abstract:

For a finite group G, Mackey functors and Tambara functors are equivariant generalisations of abelian groups and commutative rings respectively. In the talk I will explain how the work in my thesis realises the norm functors and the box products of Mackey functors and Tambara functors as instances of the construction. Using a new bicategorical framework I will explain my main results, characterising incomplete Mackey functors and bi-incomplete Tambara functors. In the later case this proves a more general version of a recent conjecture of Blumberg and Hill.

This talk is the milestone talk for my PhD.
