Description
Abstract: There are many methods to effectively understand scattering theory. In the Euclidean case, and for short-ranged, smooth potential scattering, Andrew Hassell has given several talks on the Fredholm approach. However, it is generic to often consider a bounded potential with compact support, or alternatively obstacle scattering. In such cases, complex scaling is known to be an equally powerful method.
We will review basic facts about complex scaling and its elementary consequences. We then discuss how the method can be extended to treat some non-compact situations, which in particular covers the case of wave guide.
This is work in progress.
