Abstract:  In this talk, I will discuss aspects of T-duality using the language of surjective submersions. By lifting the group action on a torus to a suitable submersion  we will explore how T-duality acts on the toroidal orbifold. In the process we will show how T-duality for circle bundles over global toroidal orbifolds with background H-flux can be reformulated in terms group cohomology.  We will discuss in detail the example of T-duality for circle bundles over 2D toroidal orbifolds with background flux.
