About North Stradbroke Island
The conference is being held at the Moreton Bay Research Station on North Stradbroke Island on the Queensland coast just out of Brisbane. It is known for its beautiful beaches, lakes and surfing spots. North Stradbroke Island (or 'Straddie') is the second largest sand island in the world and boasts tranquil lakes, wet lands and dune views from the escarpment.
