Description
Abstract: This talk presents an accessible introduction to concepts in applied game theory and probability through the example of no-limit Texas Hold’em. We will discuss several foundational ideas and then examine how they arise in making strategic decisions at the poker table. Because poker is a game of both hidden information and strategic adaptation, it provides a natural setting for seeing how abstract theory can inform practical play.
