Description
Abstract
The behaviour of the Riemann zeta function on the line Re(s) = 1/2 is intimately tied to the distribution of prime numbers. I will discuss some statistical properties of the Riemann zeta function on this line, such as its average size and its maximal size. Beyond what is known unconditionally, I will also mention some conjectural results, including some remarkable connections to random matrix theory.
