Description
Abstract: RNA is an essential molecule for any life form. Messenger RNA (mRNA) allows for a quantitative and temporal control of DNA genetic information transmission to protein production. The question of RNA degradation is still an under-studied topic although it is a key element of the cell life. In this talk, I will present a simple statistical framework to analyse data coming from Direct RNA Sequencing technology, allowing us to identify the main degradation mechanism taking place for a given transcript.
