The objectives of the award are to support:

  • An ANU PhD student working in the area of pure (theoretical) mathematics;
  • the advancement of women in the field of mathematics; and
  • the teaching of mathematics at the Australian National University

Funding for this award has been provided by Tim and Margaret Bourke.

Pure (Theoretical) Mathematics

Eligibility 

A domestic or international student. 

Enrolled or enrolling full-time in a program of study for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy at the Australian National University

Benefits 

The value of the award will be stated in the letter of offer.  The award will be paid in a single instalment unless otherwise stated in the letter of offer.

Further information 

The recipient is responsible for making payment of any tuition and/or administrative fees by the prescribed date as set by the University each session.  Recipients of this award are responsible for the cost of books, study materials, accommodation and all other costs of study.
