Description
Abstract: In this third lecture, we study a proof of Spencer's theorem using continuous optimization methods. The theorem states: Given an n-by-n matrix V, with entries bounded by 1, there is a sign vector x (with coordinates +1 or -1), such that the vector Vx has all coordinates bounded by O(sqrt(n)).
