Join us for an exhilarating day of problem-solving, teamwork, and friendly competition at ANU Maths Day 2025! Designed for Year 12 students across the region, this prestigious event is the ultimate test of both mind and endurance.

In teams of five, students will tackle a series of engaging mathematical challenges, each designed to promote collaboration, strategic thinking, and a love for mathematics:

• Story Problems – A series of thought-provoking mathematical scenarios.
• Swiss ‘Find the Rule’ – Decipher the hidden pattern in this logic-based challenge.
• Cross-Number Puzzle – A mathematical take on the classic crossword puzzle.
• The Relay (Event Highlight!) – A dynamic test of brainpower and physical agility.

A Tradition of Excellence Since 1982, ANU Maths Day has brought together bright young minds from across the ACT and beyond, including students from Canberra, Narrabri, Wollongong, the South Coast, Southern Highlands, and Sydney. With over 160 participants, this event is a fantastic opportunity for students to connect with like-minded peers who share a passion for mathematics.

More Than Just Maths: ANU Maths Day isn’t just about being the top scorer—it’s about teamwork, problem-solving, and most importantly, having fun! Whether you’re a math whiz or just enjoy a good challenge, this competition ensures that everyone can participate and enjoy the experience.

• Date: Tue 27 May 2025
• Location: The Australian National University
• Cost: $50 per person
• Registration: Each school may enter one team of five students. Additional team registrations will be placed on a waiting list. Please ensure each team has one teacher as supervisor.
