This talk briefly touches upon some of the mathematics behind encryption, a generalisation of functions crucial for modern encryption and recent work which strengthens results concerning Carley’s Conjecture, potentially opening up a new class of functions for encryption. This is the background and motivation behind a joint project with my supervisor Prof Tim Trudgian.
