If attendees would like to share childcare it will be cheaper. Abracadabra Childcare Services offer a 'Mobile Pop-Up Creche Service'.

Private Nanny Services per delegate

A Private Nanny Services per delegate requiring childcare whilst they attend the conference.  This works a little differently to the Creche as each delegate engaging our services would have their own private Nanny which they can choose to pay as a Contractor or pay through our agency as our Employee where they are covered for the following:

  • Hourly pay rate to carer
  • PAYG
  • Superannuation
  • Payroll Tax
  • Public Liability Insurance
  • Professional Indemnity Insurance
  • Workers Compensation Insurance
  • Processing Timesheets
  • Processing Payroll

Mobile Pop-Up Creche Service

The daily agency booking fee would be $55.00 (+GST) per assigned carer and the hourly charge out rates would be $70.00 to $75.00 per hour Monday to Friday & $80.00 to $90.00 per hour Saturday & Sunday (GST exempt) with a minimum 4 hour booking per day.  We would initially need to assign a minimum 2 x carers to provide sufficient supervision on any day/evening. Additional carers required on any day are determined by the number of children to be supervised, ensuring to adhere to the following ratio

0-2 years - 3 children per carer

3-6 years - 5 children per carer

7+ years - 7 children per carer

Please note

- if your booking exceeds the minimum 4 hours and the maximum capacity for ratio of 0-2 years is met an additional carer/s will be required to assist with nappy changes, bottle preparation/feeding, settling and break times.

there is a surcharge to the agency booking fee and hours to be worked if your booking falls on a Public Holiday (tailored quote provided upon request).   

 

As you are aware, all of our Nannies/Carers have their Working with Children Clearance Check, First Aid Certificate and fully reference checked.  The carers work a minimum of 4 hours per day, if a split shift is required please contact us to discuss further.  The hourly charge out rate for our carers covers the following:

- Carers Hourly Rate

- Casual Leave Loading

- PAYG

- Superannuation

- Payroll Tax

- Workers Compensation

- Public Liability Insurance

- Professional Indemnity Insurance

 

The required materials & resources that we ask be made available to the carers on each day include:

- Baby change table/floor mat area

- Prams for napping if needed and authorized by parents

- Microwave for heating milk/bottles

- Small Fridge for storing lunch boxes, milk bottles etc.

- TV/DVD Player or Projector & Screen (Optional)

- Tables & Chairs - Sign in/out desk at entrance to Creche and tables & Chairs for children and carers, Sanitiser Station at Entry

- Water Jugs

- Plastic cups/serviettes

- Garbage Bins & Bacterial/Antiseptic Wipes

- First Aid Kit (provided by Event Organiser or Venue)

- Bathrooms (Mothers room providing baby change table and sanitary bins for soiled nappies - if not available please let us know as we have alternative options available)

- Onsite induction for Carers by Event Organiser/Venue Operations: Floor Plan, Fire Exits, Meeting Points, Bathrooms, Break times (Please allow a 15 minute morning/afternoon tea break and 30 minute staggered lunch breaks for each of the assigned carers.), Runsheet for each day, responsibilities & duties etc

- Snacks and Lunch for Children (we recommend parents provide snacks/water/bottles and sandwiches & fruit be ordered by you for lunch/dinner (no nuts, eggs etc).  

- Room Set up with Age Appropriate Activities (games, puzzles, arts and crafts, books, toys, interactive games, movies, music, floor mats for floor play). We also recommend that parents bring along their child/ren's favourite book, toy, device etc.

 

The room set up and activities that can be hired on each day (based on 3 to 10 children) are (Please Note: The room set up and activity hire is optional, please feel free to organise this yourself if you wish.  Our assigned carers would be happy to assist with the set up and pack down if required):

- Colouring books, pencils/crayons

- Arts & Crafts

- Balloons

- Playdough

- Board games/puzzles/activities 

- Interactive games/exercises

- Reading Books 

- Toys such as trucks/cars, dolls, blocks, musical instruments 

- Children's programs/movies on usb for TV/projector 

- Mats for floor play
- Equipment such as tents/play tunnels/small play pits with plastics balls

 

The cost for the above items would depend upon the number of children and their ages so we will be able to provide you with a more tailored quote once you have more of an indication of numbers. Please note that this DOES NOT include the costs associated with paying the assigned carers for time spent purchasing these items so please factor in an additional 1 to 2 hours payment for hours.  Please also note that parking will need to be made available to the carer ferrying the activities to and from the event, any cost for parking will need to be covered by the entity holding the event.

 

Please note: 

- two assigned carers will be required to start 1 hour early on the first day to set up the activities and 1 hour later on the last day to pack up the activities (if the event is across a number of days and room does not need to be packed down at the end of the day then only 1hr after the duration of the event will be required for pack down).

- If you think that it might be likely that more than 10 children will be in attendance then we can provide you with a more tailored quote so please do let us know.

If you choose to engage our services, we can provide you with the following creche forms for you to include in your material for delegates when registrations open:

Event Information Page for Delegates (your company/event logo, event dates & times, childcare service brief, how to book, cost for half day/full day i.e. some of our clients charge a booking fee per child for half day and/or full day if they wish for us to take care of the registration process by having delegates send engagement forms directly to us.  This fee will cover the time and cost associated with us taking care of this for you and monitoring ratio's to keep in line with the requirements)

The carers will also be provided with the following forms to bring along with them:

Child Attendance Sheet : Parent to sign in upon drop off and sign out upon collection

Accident & Incident Report : In the unlikely event that these may be required

Creche Staff Duties : full instructions on what is required of each assigned carer

Please Note: A copy of the above forms are available upon engagement in our services.

COVID Restrictions and Requirements are:

- We are unable to accept any sick children in to the creche/room for childcare during the session

Encouraging good hygiene, washing hands before & after eating, avoid touching their faces, eyes & mouth

Cover coughs or sneezes with their elbows or clean tissue, dispose of tissue in closed bin

- Provide hand washing facilities or hand sanitiser at entry and exit points (i.e. hand sanitiser) for both carers & parents and other staff members

Cleaning the workplace regularly and thoroughly using cleaning wipes 

- Implement Physical Distancing Measures 

 

For further information and if you wish to engage our services, please find attached our Creche Booking Registration Pack which includes an introduction to our agency, our brochure, registration forms and copy of our Terms of Business.  Upon engagement in our services an initial invoice would be raised as a holding deposit which would include charges for the agency booking fees for each day booked, minimum 4 hours for each carer assigned for each day booked and activities if they are required. The balance of hours of work would be invoiced upon receipt of authorised timesheets from the assigned carers. Once carers have been confirmed for your event we will supply a brief of the carers experiences and qualifications. To enable us to organise carers and activities for an event, registrations for the Creche must close 1 week prior to the event taking place as a minimum. 

Please note: where an event is more than 6 months away from the time of enquiry that fees and charges may be subject to change.
